Cloud Computing?

I recently picked up the "fantastic plastic"; Canon's consumer grade 50mm, 1.8 lens. Sure it's made from not-so-robust pressed plastic, but the glass is good, so as long as I avoid tree trunks and lamp posts, this fast, compact lens should pay for itself and then some (editor's note: it already has).
So later the same afternoon I found myself on a patio watching several layers of clouds race past in a busy sky and decided to give the lens a try.

What more can I say? I leaned back, focused on infinity and shot away. Ignoring the light metre, I underexposed by several stops to add "drama" (I've been told I'm quite the drama queen).

Of all my shots that day, this one is my favourite. I can't help but see a giant bird head with an eye staring at me like some angry parrot-god. Or maybe it's the last of the dodos (Check out "Porky in Wackyland" and you'll know what I mean!

Step into my patio: Misumena

Step into my parlor, said the spider to the fly...

I'm not sure about you, but when I see this image, I envision something more like a patio than a parlor. Either way, I'm glad I'm not a fly right about now!
